The
Department of Cooperation and Cultural Action
The main mission of the Service for Cooperation and Cultural Action
of the French Embassy in Singapore is to develop exchanges with
our partners in all fields of science, education, language and culture,
which constitute the cultural dimension of our diplomatic objectives.
The
objective of the Attaché for Science and Technology is to
build up fruitful and durable relations between Singaporean and
French universities, and various research organizations.
The
Attaché for Science and Technology
The current Attaché for Science and Technology, Dr. Dominique
Aymer de la Chevalerie, has been in Singapore since September 2000.
Prior to this posting, he was a researcher in the Laboratory of
Aerodynamic Studies with the CNRS, France.
He obtained his Doctorate of the University of Poitiers in 1976,
and the “Doctorat es Sciences Physics” in 1986, majoring
in aerodynamics. His fields of study include Shockwave Boundary
Layer Interaction in Supersonic and Hypersonic Flows, Taylör-Görtler
Instabilities and Interaction Shock Turbulence. He was responsible
for the Hypersonic Wind Tunnel of the laboratory during the European
Shuttle Research Program HERMES.
