Prof. Eyal Zussman has been at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, since 1994. He received his doctor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Technion in 1992. From 1992 to 1994, he worked as a research assistant at the Technical University in Berlin, Germany. From 2002-2004 he was a visiting scholar a Northwestern University His research includes polymer processing, electrospinning, and materials characterization. Dr. Zussman has study the mechanical and thermo-mechanical properties of confined polymer structures. He also been active in biomedical applications aiming at developing dental membranes, biodegradable extra cellular matrix (ECM), and drug delivery systems all based on electrospun fibers. He has published more than 100 journal publications and 10 patents.
