Current Interests

·         Self-assembly of nanomaterials

·         Surface-modification strategies for nanoparticles with particular emphasis on
     bioconjugation
·         Development of new synthesis processes for nanomaterials in solution, on
     surfaces and within designer templates

·         Interfacing inorganic-nanomaterials with biomacromolecules such as DNA,
     proteins/enzymes, whole cells etc.
·         New biomimetic strategies for the synthesis of minerals and nanoparticles
